My GL did not come with a trunk light... How would I hook one up if I got one from a junk yard? What would I need?

I think all Contours came stock with one, someone must have removed yours. The wiring at least should be in there, so just grab the whole assembly from the junkyard.

No, the GL's did not, at least not the early ones...

my 97 did and my moms 96 did. both GLs. :shrug:

Well then it was some sort of option... My fathers post98 Zetec SE did not have one either... Why would someone rip out the whole assembly, leaving no trace of it?
Anyways, is there anything else I need besides the light? I assume there is some sort of button which tells the light to come on when the trunk is open, like the door jam ones, where is that located?
