To EGR or not to EGR Thats my question

After spending a hour on here and newcougar, I've seen that its a split decision on if A turbo'd car should have the EGR system intak and working or not. Demon, DanG, and warmonger, said it should be i believe. And then there is a long list says it shouldnt.

So what is the final answer on this.


Now i need specifics, if it should be used what is the best way to route the tube from the exhaust(no real clear info on this just that its a PITA)? And if there are any other special things that need to be done.

Just use the stock tube and assembly. There was never an issue running it on my turbo car when I owned it, other than have to put real clamps on the hoses going to the dpfe sensor. Otherwise it worked great.

Ok... so it willjust be fine using the stock connector on the back header for the egr to hook up to? Thats alot easier than what everyone else was mentioning on other threads... I remember something about you saying you were blowing off those hoses in a past thread. Thanks again ....
