im probably posting this in the wrong section... if i am i apologize, but i was wondering if on my contour how hard (if possible) it would be to change my car from 4-lug to the taurus 5-lug because i like the factory taurus wheels and would like to have a set on my car without forking out the arm and leg to find a nice set of SVT wheels

would i just have to change out the hub or would it be more trouble than it's worth

any help is appreciated

So do you think these taurus knuckles match up exactly to the stock contour struts, axles, steering assy, etc? :ponder:

funny SVT wheels arn't going for that much anymore, as with most SVT parts ...

I got a so-so set of E0s for like $200 with good tires ...

thats kinda what i was hoping, i might have to do a little more research on the taurus and contour measurements

where did you get svt wheels for $200?

EO's with tires for $150

E1's for $100

Gunmetal E1's w/ tires for $175

Some of these are sold, but it just shows you how little these wheels sell for. Did you just happen to miss these in the classifieds?

in all honesty i didnt look in the classifieds before i posted...i wasnt really thinking about putting svt wheels on it...i wanted something different that no-one else would have thats why i was asking if the taurus could be shot in...but thanks for posting the links

uhm well i have a set of svt wheels that i will be getting rid of im not really looking to sell them cuz i don`t really care to i would much rather just give them to someone who is a csvt enthusiest so if ya want them i will let ya know when i am getting rid of them and you can have first dibs.
im looking for some fsvt wheels on ebay right now......

you could do that, but you're moving the center of the wheel out, therefore you'd need a goofy ass wheel to center it level with the edge of the body, you'd have a wheel sticking out, according to these, 2", and your wheel bearings would hate life.
