See You in Kalamazoo to Join Front-Drive Ford Fans
at the 'Spring Zing' 10th Anniversary this Weekend!
Back in April of 1999, Ford Contour enthusiasts from the Chicago and Kansas City areas teamed up to hold a weekend car meet for front-drive Ford fans across the Midwest. It was so well-received that the following year, the SVT/SHO society pitched in to create a national meet that came to be known as "Spring Zing." Fast-forward to 2009, and we find the FWD fanatics on www.Contour.org who make up the Contour Enthusiast Group (CEG) are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of "Spring Zing" with a fun-filled event this weekend in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

"Spring Zing" remains successful because of the wide variety of activities offered - from the road course to the drag strip plus a car cruise, judged car show, dyno day and an autocross - and this year is no different. After a track day on Thursday and a Friday cruise that ends in a "test & tune" night at the strip, the Saturday car show will be held on the picturesque grounds of the spectacular Gilmore Car Museum. The SVTOA plans to be there and a 2010 Taurus SHO is rumored to be joining the show field. Plus more surprises are in store for the evening banquet, so check out event details before Spring Zing wraps up with a big autocross on Sunday hosted by The Furrin Group.
