hi all looking for pointers doing an engine change putting 99 svt /st200 engine in 99 cougar both duel fuel type got engine harness and pcm XS7V THAW and key chips from the st main problem is wiring ie ecu pinout and the main 42 pin block connector wots the same wots different ? any help would be nice! ho and may the great god of speed smile apon thee and all your chariots!

Part out the SVT engine and buy a 3.0 instead.
Or better yet if money isnt too tight, just buy a 3.0 and use your SVT parts on that.

Or just buy the 3L/ST220 engine and use ALL of the parts and not waste your money on using the SVT/ST200 parts :nonono:
Do you currently have a 2.5L? If so you can use the same harness and just get yourself a tune to run the 3L.
However all that said if your dead set on using the ST200 engine then you should be able to use your own PCM and forego swapping out everything and obtain a tune from Bluefin (£239, Cougar specific) or similar company.
