Does anyone know where I can get a splitter from? Like the one forthe bumper non carbon fiber? Also does anyone know if it would fit a 99 mercury mystique LS?

If you were going to go far enough to make your own, I'd just suggest molding the lower half of the svt front bumper to the upper half of your mystique front bumper. Then if you wanted the splitter then you can just add it. There might be a picture or two floating around with a mystique in svt clothing somewhere.

a few years ago super street (i know, i know) did an article about the difference between expensive aftermarket parts and universal or home made parts (ie the SleeperZ intake for the zetec) for a couple of different cars. the only reason i read it was because of the sentra se-r that they did some work on. the big thing that caught my eye was the splitter they made using IIRC 1/4 plywood. they traced out the shape of the bottom of the bumper on cardboard they drew how they thought the splitter should look. then the cardboard cutout was transferred and the splitter was cut out of the plywood. they painted it and mounted it with the same hardware that you would use on an aftermarket piece. it was only used for some laps around a track so they didn't really put a lot of work in to it but it did look pretty decent. i think that a little time and effort and some fiberglass someone could make their own splitter and it would turn out looking real good and not so boy racer riceish.

I'm not doubting you, but are you sure thats not a Mirko Splitter that's just molded to the bumper? I know there's at least two people on here with the Mirko molded to the SVT bumper.

I believe this is Mr.Bill's

And the other one is on the SF, I can't remember his username but I know i've seen the 'in the middle, working on it' process where it was all primered up.

Nope, if you get real close you can tell it's slightly different......I think there's unfinished pics of it floating around somewhere
