hey, whats the bolt pattern for a 98 SE. is it 4x100?
also, when buying rims, should i look the offset? (40 - 45)
no clue.
eventually i will lower the car (not drastically) maybe 1".
I hope not to rub.
all help and comments welcome.
thanks!

They are 4X108... and offset depends on how much brake you want to put behind the wheels.. if you want to leave them stock 40 shoud do but searching the forums is always a good way to start.

thanks.
I've searched and learned a few things but i am still not sure on offset.
i hear you when you say that stock (40), but as i shop for rims, there are variances and i need to know what determines the offset and what method of distance is used as well as the point a to point b.
(i.e. point a = caliper? ~ point b = inside of rim? with 40 being centimeters??)

dont mean to sound dumb.
thanks!

oooohhhhhhh:troutslap:

i got it now. so are the numbers (i.e. 40) millimeters from the center line?
i ask this to know the optimum number to look for in my quest for "shoes" for the contour.
i know...........i'm testing the patience....

thanks hotdimmes, for your info!

another pic that might help

So there is a 40mm gap between the centerline of the pivot and the mounting surface.

I'm also looking for some new rims when I get the cash. Offset doesn't change with rim width correct?
