Rear brake size

Hi,

My 2000 V6 contour has rear drum brakes that need work. When I look up parts for them I see two different size brakes, 8" and 9". Is there any way to tell without pulling them apart and measuring the drums?

I'd like to get all the parts before I start...

I think you mean the size of the brakeshoes for the drums? Im pretty sure its a 9'', the rear drums are pretty big...this is based off when I owned a 98 GL about 4 years ago though so I could be wrong.

You have to measure, from what I have read post 98 tours used both 8" and 9" interchangeably.
