Possible trans rebuild?

I think after doing some research, that my third gear syncro is going out. When I shift from 2nd to 3rd and from 4th to 3rd, I get a quick grind. If I am going slow and I baby it, it is okay. I called a friend of mine who owns a tranny shop where I used to live and he thinks the same. The previous owner installed a B&M shifter and said it may just need an adjustment. Can anybody recommend a reputable tranny shop in Maryland? I will probably have the clutch replaced while I am at it. Any suggestions on a shop and clutch? Thanks.

What part of MD? There aren't too many CEG'rs active up there anymore, but if your cruise http://www.newcougar.org/forums/forum.php you might find a shop.
