Ignition lock cylinder ?

Mine is abought ready to go! I could swear there were previous posts abought a replacement lock that had different inserts so you could key the new lock to the original key pattern. Did a search but found nothing. Would anyone happen to know a part number! Or direct me to the right area of this forum? 1999 contour sport

I have never heard of a keyable ignition cylinder like you have discribed, for vehicles. i have heard of them for door locks on a home.

Easiest thing would be to get a lock set and keys from a junk car or someone parting out a car and swap them out. Then swap the PATs chip in the key and your good to go.

all the door lock cylinders sold by motorcraft are keyable. we key them per car, as with it being older than 01-02 they didnt record the codes anyways.
