Today I made a renovation to the headlights, after yesterday had Installed Xenon HID kits.

I used:

-Turtle Wax Polishing Compound
-1500 Grit Sandpaper
-Brasso Metal Polish

First of all I applied a thin cap ot Turtle Wax all over the headlight, then I rubbed the sandpaper (wet with water and detergent) for like half an hour (if you do it for longer you'll have better results).
Finnally cleaned up the headlights with water, dried them with a paper, and then Brasso Metal Polish comes, you have to apply it all over the headlight, let it dry and then rub with a dry cotton cloth.

Here the Before and After!!

I choose to do this renovation because of the difficult that is to get new headlights for my car here! and of course it is cheaper!, a lot! haha.

Here is what I did for my 1998 Ford Contour Headlights.

i just refinished mine. i used the mothers kit and they look almost new. took a total of 90 minutes for both headlights.

I used the 3m kit on a set and they look almost new too. for the prices of any of the kits i dont think you can lose, especially if youre considering brand new replacements.

if you can't get it in a local parts store, i would try the internet. but it looks like you did a pretty good job on your headlights with out a kit.
