Focus center console

Has anybody tried putting a Focus center console in a Contour. Removing the entrie existing center console and cup holders of course.

Just wondering.
I am not sure the shifter and e-brake handle are in the right places.

Why would you want too, the focus one pales in comparison to the pre-98 console!!!!!

Real armrest and real cupholders

Pre-98 = real armrest, crappy cupholders

98+ = ok cupholders, no armrest

And I hate this Pre98 and 98+ garbage.
Why not call them Gen1 and Gen2 ????

Ok yes the "gen1" has a muuuuuch better arm rest and cup holders that are flimsy, but it flows sooooo much better, for looks anyways.

I agree.. nothing looks better than Gen1 / pre-98 / whatever you want to call it console.. but mine is a DD and it gets a lot of driving done in her, and i always have a drink with me.

I didn't get a chance to try it out, but I am still going to. It was just too damn hot out at the junkyard today.

and idk what people mean by 98's having good cup holders, mine are cup spillers!

the only way it would work without alot of modification is if the distance from the shifter to the parking brake handle is the same. and since they are two different cars I am going to guess they are not the same.


as for the cup holders, get the upgraded ones, pre or post 98 ....
