I've never used fabric-specific spray paint, so I'm not sure what to look for.

My main concern is, does it hold up on a surface that's constantly being used? For instance my sun visors...would it flake/crust off from me pulling it down and pushing it up? Since I reupholstered my headliner, I need to try to get it all matching now, and I think painting the visors would add some contrast instead of upholstering them as well. So, any info on this would be much appreciated!

A good buddy of mine used the Duplicolor black vinyl and fabric paint (available at WalMart) and it held up decent. He didn't put very much on so maybe that is why it didn't hold up.

I used some on a pair of floor mats (I spayed the heck out of them) and they held up good, just got muddy.

I guess it all depends on surface prep (my floor mats were cleaned prior to spraying), how much fabric paint you use and how long you let it dry. For sun visors I think it will hold up good if you clean the surface first and put a few coats on.

People have good luck with Duplicolor fabric paint when spraying faded cloth Miata seats, never heard of anyone doing sunvisors. Maybe you could find a couple for $1 at a pick and pull yard and test before messing up your stock visors.
