Bridgestone HP50

I just got a set of Bridgestone HP50's and am pleasantly surprised. I previously had some balding perelli's which I can't complain about except they weren't to good in wet weather (I'm sure the lack of tread didn't help ).

Has anyone else had a set of the HP50's or heard anything (good or bad) about them?

The tread pattern looks, to me, to be identical to the discontinued Firestone SH-30s. I liked those when I had them, lasted me about 44,000 miles.
