Im the Solo Chairman of the Indiana Northwest Region and we are hosting an autox work shop the Jim McKamey
Here is all the info:
Autox Workshop with Jim McKamey
Jim is a resident of Portage, IN. He has been autocrossing since the early 70's, mostly in cars he has modified or constructed himself. He has been Stewart of the Solo II Nationals. He has been on the Solo II Prepared Advisory Committee. He has been involved with organizing events. He did the Portage Grand Prix, a street autocross, which evolved into a combined series of street events in Springfield Ill, Milwaukee Wis, and Bangor, Mich. He stopped competing Nationally in 1991 with 5 National Championships
Enough people were asking for help and advise that in 1993, he formed McKamey Autocross Schools to give back to the autocross community. He traveled the country putting on schools until 1999, when he sold it to Jean Kinser who renamed the school "Evolution Autocross Schools."
What we will discuss is his first hand experience in car and driver development in autocross.
The workshop will take place March 28th 2 p.m. at
Griffith High School Entrance M
