Having an issue getting my plates off. One screw in each plate does not want to come out. They're at the point of stripping. Going to try to torch them tonight.
...seem to remember the ends of the screws are squashed/ crimped to stop them backing out.
Anyone having an issue could try grinding / filing the bottom end of the screw flush with the shaft. Then rest the shaft on a long socket that fits inside the intake port ....so you can apply maximum pressure to the screw head without bending the shaft .
Another trick is to cut a slot in the screw head ... by rotating the shaft fully open ... because a straight cut often gives better grip than a cross head screw ..G.

We had some luck with a torch combined with small needle nose vice grips to grab the screw head. Or use a thin square sided needle file to cut a new slot into the head.

We finally ran them! So they will be shipping out in the near future. The straggler will need to pay for a core since we had to run now or wait even longer. We also ran the other cores we had so we have more for others who did not get in.
