I'd ditch the X 1/9 in a heart beat if I could find an Alfa Romeo GTV6 in decent shape. I've always loved the look of those. Or an older, late 60's/early 70's, GTV.
It had something like 460,000 miles on it. Had 415,000 when I bought it. It had had ONE engine/tranny rebuild in its life, and that was somewhere around 250,000 miles. Needless to say, I am not near as leery of high mileage cars as most people are, and because of that experience I would buy another Benz in a heartbeat if I had the dough. Plus, I was 20, and was ready for something new. At that time in my life I was averaging a different vehicle every 6 months or so, and wanted something 2 door and sporty. So I traded it in on the Daytona. Yes, I traded a Benz on a Daytona. I miss BOTH those cars. I loved that Daytona too!And why would anyone get rid of a MB 450 SEL????????
