87k 99 CSVT transmission problems - should I part out

I was having problems with a slipping when turning and sometimes from start. I took my car to a guy I know who fixes cars and he checked the axle and now thinks its a problem with the transmission. A new tranny installed would cost 2000 and I was planning on selling the car for 3000-4000. Should I part it out or fix it? Email me if you have any ideas erichouse8@aol.com. Thanks

But if you intend to sell it, don't fix it. Just sell it as is as you will not recoup your cost of repairs.
