Sucks for the driver's family, but the risks in racing are huge.
And for those who keep harping on the track design, there isn't really anyhting wrong with how that wall was laid out. If the other driver hadn't deliberately spun him, nobody would ever crash at that location on the track. The wall was even angled in instead of being perpendicular to the track, and had energy absorbing water barrels too. Could it have been better? Sure, but was it badly designed, certainly not.
