99 dropping fuel pressure

My '99 loses power when hot (after 30-45 minutes of driving). My mechanic says the fuel pressure is dropping to 12-14 lbs, but that 12V are being maintained to the fuel pump. The pump has been replaced 3 times to no avail. Any suggestios? NO CODES appear when troubleshooting/ Thanks in advamce!

I've thought of that, but would that make the fuel pressure drop?

No, it would not.

Do you have the returnless fuel system (late 99 and 00)?

If it is returnless, when you replaced the pump, did you replace the entire pump module? One way to identify if it is a returnless system is from the size of the pump. If the pump is too big to fit the access hole below the rear seat, it is returnless. If the pump can be removed through the access hole it is not returnless.

An extremely common problem with returnless is that the disc screen filter on the bottom of the filter module is too small and too fine. Take the thing off and throw it away. You don't need it. There is a conventional sock filter inside the module.

You could also have a plugged fuel filter.

Thanks for the feedback, I will pass this info onto my mechanic
