Turn signal issue

Hey guys, need some help troubleshooting something. Last year on my SVT, while building the 3.0 I also swapped the steering wheel with a pre-98 Atlantis Blue (yeah I know it wont match blah blah blah, couldn't find a new one in the salvage yard, but this one looks like new, so I got it). Anyways, I took the turn signal stalk and wiper stalk off, just to make sure I had enough room since I never changed a steering wheel before. When I had it back on the road, I would turn the signal on and after turning it would stay on instead of clicking off. Any thoughts? I tried removing the stalks and re-installing them with no luck. Why would it be doing this? Any advice is appreciated.

did u change the little black box on the turning module? for the life of me, i could never remember what those things are called...

I didn't, but I do have a spare one. I'll have to try that, although idk what the difference would be.
