Get rid of one CEL, get 2 new ones

I finally thought I was CEL-less after Greg (aircougar) installed MILS on my car to get rid of my P0420 code, then yesterday I get 2 new ones

Explanations taken from main site

P0118 - Engine Coolant Temperature circuit High Input
(i have no idea about this)

P0156- Downstream Heated Oxygen Sensor circuit fault - Bank No. 2.
(get new O2 sensors?)

everyones help and expertise is much appreciated
 
sounds like its time for a new engine coolant temp sensor.


check that the mil eliminator is still correctly installed. There could be a problem in the wiring or it could be the sensor itself.

P0156

P0136 - HO2S Sensor Circuit Malfunction (HO2S-12) The downstream HO2S sensor(s) are continuously checked for maximum and minimum voltages. The code will set when the voltages fail to meet the calibrated limits. Cause are as follows
· Disconnected sensor
· Pinched, shorted, corroded wiring or pins
· Crossed sensor wires
· Exhaust leaks
· Contaminated or damaged sensor
· Chafed/damaged wiring



P0156 - HO2S Sensor Circuit Malfunction (HO2S-22) Same as DTC P0136, but Bank 2. See Possible Causes for DTC P0136
