is this a good price?

not even close to being a good price for that many miles. You can find engines with that many for $250+shipping

No it is not a good price. Too many miles. Its a 2000'. You really should find a 04' 0r 05', especially for that kind of money. Have you looked into car-parts.com? If not, your crazy. Best think to do is a rent a pick-up or Van and take it home yourself. There are 4 Major LKQ Yards in CA. Also check neighboring States if your willing to drive that far.

Several benefits are

1. pay cash and haggle
2. inspect up close what your buying
3. No delivery fee

Couple of things to remember

Don't buy the extra warranty, they won't honor it if it's getting port matched or going into a Contour for that matter.
Makes sure all the sensors and sending units you need are on the block.
Bring good tie down straps!

wait i thought 04-05 was to new.
i thought the newest year to use was like 02-03?

Thats if you want to use a split port heads...lim and uim.:shrug:

Most people go with the 04 motor...better everything heads cams intakes etc etc. :)

Plus water pump.
