Hi Guys.

As it is the mk1 mondeo the gear change is rod not like the later cable ones on the mk2's ( where you can just change the lever). So no one makes them off the shelf for the mk1 and you have to change the whole linkage from the gear box back but there is a lad on one of the forums over here that modifies the standard linkage.. which is what i had done..

Very nice I love those rims. Are the metal door handles stock? How about those sail panels are they stock as well?

No not switchable.. it has mtx75 transmission the transfer box is on the drivers side shaft and the split is 58% of the power to the front wheels and 42% to the rear. According to the manual it is a further development to that used in the escort rs2000 4x4..

The door handles are stock but they are from the later mk2 mondeo, but to fit them to the mk1 you also need the plastic handle trim ..

The sail panels are stock on the mk1 and they changed them on the later mk2.. Most people over here take them off and fit the later style ones but i kind a like the stock ones..

And the rims i have been after a set of these diamond cut rs 7 spokes for ages, they are quite rare over here nowadays

on the doccuments it is a mondeo si 4x4 but i guess awd as it is not switchable..

They didn't make very many of them to start with and there isn't very many left on the road now.. I still have arguments on the phone with the parts section at the ford dealers as some of them didn't even know they existed..

Forgive me for this question, but I know they did offer an awd Mondy, is that one of them, I see the emblem in the grill and on the sides:confused: The car looks great, especially those wheels:drool: I see that BAT offers them and I'm surprised that noone over here has them or atleast I haven't seen anyone with them yet:shrug:

The car looks great and I really like those sail panels!

Yes this is one of them..

Here are a few pic's of underneath..

This was taken when i was fitting a bat 21mm rear sway bar so looking from the rear of the car forwards you can see the rear diff and the prop shaft..

And this one was taken from the front looking to the rear and you can see the transfer box and the prop shaft running back..

Has someone made a V6 4x4? It could be a little tricky with the right header and the extra gearbox for the propshaft.
Second problem ... I've read something in the RS2000 community that the 4x4 drivetrain can handle only up to 250HP?!
