Hi:
There seems to be a gap between the top of the strut tower and the top mount plate, under the hood, and you can turn the mounting plate around by hand, although the nut is very tight?
Is it possible to remove this plate and use a large rubber bushing to fill the gap, and tighten the plate back into place?
Can this be done this simply, or does this require the use of a spring compressor?
Is the strut unit secured from the wheel well side, so it doesn't spring up when the top plate is removed?
Any help appreciated, on a tight budget right now, and thought this may a cheap fix to the rattling?
Thanks, Jake.
