If you follow the how to, and have an offset O2 sensor ratched, it isn't horrible horrible....that would have been the bank 1 sensor 1 on the wifes solara. :nonono:

I went with Bosch on my car and it is fine....granted I paid like $15 more at Champion Auto...doh.

I also went with a universal Bosch for the wifes car, and that worked as well. You cut the harness part off your old sensor and wire it up to the new one

hey uwin. the denso or bosch are good buys. just not sure about the BWD one. one more thing. please use the search feature. every question u've asked has been answered numerous times b4.

i would advise going with a Bosch. very reputable, very good product. dont buy a universal o2 sensor. those are hit or miss. especially with it being in such a tough spot, its not something you're gonna want to replace again.

I agree the bosch ones are good sensors. and I don't get why everyone goes with a universal sesnor. everytime I have checked prices at autozone or advance there really isn't much of a difference. just get the correct one and its plug and play, why mess with it?

Will take your advice and go with the Bosch.
How urgent should this repair be? $60 is a few weeks away for me.
I am a little short on funds now been fixing blowermotor, water leaks,

should be done sooner then later ... just be glad you don't have to replace it with one from Ford. the dealer charges $120 a sensor ....

I was going to do in this order

clean the MAF with CRC

New Bosch Oxygen Sensor 13115

New Motorcraft Finewire platinum SP-478

or

AUTOLITE - Autolite Double Platinum Plug APP5364

iS this order ok?
Is one plug better or should I use another type?

I see what looks like a 02 sensor on the front near the radator and one one top under the vtec plate.
I want to make sure I change the correct one.

an O2 sensor is going to be in the exhaust. you should have one in the exhaust manifold towards the top of the engine near the radiator. there will also be one that you will see from under the car on the passanger side in the exhaust.

what you see on top of the engine near the spark plugs is the VCT solenoid.

Ok found another one under car on passenger side its in the front under the bumper in an exhaust pipe. Is that the one i should replace?

ok I removed the one under the car. It has a different conector. So I replaced the one on top. Thats the one that matched what I had Bosch 13115.
I hope that fixes eng light.
