Changed serpentine belt for first time today; used BANDO from Autozone.
Had bought the "tool" kit with long bar, crows foot, etc; it was of no use to me; couldn't get enough movement with the long rod.
Ended up using thinnish 3/8" rachet facing forward with 6" or so pipe over it of course also facing forward, pushed down on end of pipe with strong bent rod. While other hand was forcing belt over small pulley.
Worked under and on top of car. Ended up on top with last pulley being the small one on top of the alternator one.
Not too bad once I figured it out, next time will be 1 hour (i'm slow) instead of 2.5!
(Actually old Motorcraft belt looked fine when off! Probably didn't need to do it except it was probably 8 yrs old. Low Mileage car 30K '95 Mystique.)
