Why do you need to buy new bearings? They don't come with the mounts? Where do they go? I'm gonna be buying the BAT kit soon and was wondering what else is all involved.

Things add up.....

and when switching your suspension you may as well do it the proper way.

I payed about 1200 for my Konis/GCs w/ the Mounts, bearings, shipping.

Still need to get front sway bar links, LCAs and more.....

I have had the BAT kit on my SVT for over a year. It did not lower the car as much as I thought. It is a very good replacement for the factory SVT suspension.

If all you do is street driving then this is the right suspension choice. If you care more about track performance then look elsewhere.

I replaced Strut tops / bearings and installed Camber Plates at the same time.

Yea, the svt is just a DD for me. A spring I noticed was going out, so, I figured now would be the time to upgrade. And I bought the mounts and bearing simply because they are involved with the swap, and I'd rather replace them with fresh mounts while I have the easy access.

~$60 for shipping isn't soooo bad. The parts came in 2 boxes, large boxes, and are quite heavy. Saturday the suspension will be installed, so hopefully everything goes ok.

I'm new to the suspension world and saw a lot of people bought new mounts and bearings with their kit. Are either of these 100% necessary or can they be reused? I saw someone said you can regrease the bearings, but what about the mounts, are they reusable?

Mounts are re-usable. I kept mine when I installed Roush springs 5 years ago. BAT "suggests" they be replaced, but then they are in the parts business. I would not replace them, personally, unless they were bent or my car had at least 100K on it. And it does, so replacing them might be a good idea in my case.

Yeah, I would've loved to get the BAT kit for my car. but money's a lil tight right now. I was also wondering about the mounts and bearings cuz I've heard some people say the originals should be fine, but I guess you don't really know til you get under and start working on it.

I just purchased the BAT kit (struts and springs). 640.00$ shipping included. I will have them installed in the next week. I did not purchase new mounts. I can't wait to get them installed. I have 1 stock SVT strut blown out atm. Overall the quality is excellent.
