Today my 4 year old asked "Can we take the contour becuase it is supper Fast". Little does he know that the van we usually drive will take the contour 0-freeway speed by probably a car length.

It was just great the way he asked.

haha i remember someone saying "youll think the contour svt is fast if you think a honda minivan is"

Thats really funny to hear. He must really like being in a car that has a stick.

Are you one of those dads that puts his kid on his lap and lets him pretend he is driving in a empty parking lot? I remember my dad doing that when i was a little kid. I felt so kool!!

looks like you're doing a good job raising that boy! :)

my dad used to let me park our van by driving it around the court, it actually used to scare the crap out of me lol

I have the auto. He loves the sound of it. He loves sitting in the Drivers seat when I move cars around.

We were following a 99 base model contour. After about 3 miles I hear from the back seat. Dad that is like your contour but slow and ugly. I love the fact that he can pick out contours now.

awwww. that was cute:). nice video

My dad used to let me drive by sitting in his lap and steering. He also used to let me shift our old Escort. It was pretty cool. Definitely beat pretend driving as a kid.

Gave alittle kid and his mom a ride, kid said the most awsome thing. "Wow do you drive Lightening Mc. Queen?" Not only was it awsome but incredibly cute.

i think the sad but true reality about these stories or thread is that our cars only get respect from toddlers. ...sad:cry:

You know its sad but true. LOL

It took a few years to get my GF to like my svt. I'll say one thing though. She loves driving the svt cause its a stick. I don't have kids yet. If i still have the car by then:crazy: , i hope he/she will like it as much as i have.

My fiancee gets on my case from time to time because I sold my 'Tour and bought a Mustang.

I would of never have thought a girl would feel like htat. Girls love mustangs. I havn't met a girl who liked my svt over a mustang yet. Your are a lucky man thats for sure:laugh:

The 'Tour was reasonably quick, 4-door, had leather, a/c, tinted windows, a nice stereo system (high-end replacement speaker and a deck), it looked sharp and the only time it really made any noise was when opening up the throttle.

On the other hand, the Mustang has an unrefined, turbocharged 306. The interior is currently partially gutted while customizing, it squeaks and rattles, the ride is harsher than the 'Tour with Koni's on full, the aforementioned engine is loud all the time, it has Hunsaker sport seats, she knows that at some point in the next couple years getting in will be like playing on a jungle gym, and the Mustang is stupid fast for the street so she worries.

Hopefully, she will like the Mustang someday, but I am not holding my breath.

Yea. That's not a car you take a woman around in. LOL! You need another car.

I agree with todras, no wonder she likes the csvt more. I wouldn't want to be driven in that while going for a night out on the town:shrug: .

I would be driving that thing for sure when she wasn't with me, thats for sure.
