Can anyone answer today---are front springs side specific?

Just a quick question, are Contour front springs side specific?
I can't see why they would be but would like to know.
Its a long story, but I'd appreciate if anyone could answer today.

From what I know they are only front to rear specific. That goes for any vehicle.

If you aren't sure, I'd put the slightly larger of the two on the drivers side, seeing it always has more weight on it lol.

Well, the long story is that my car had the rear control arm bent by the tire shop and I had to leave it in OH with my dad to replace. He has a lift and the car needed an alignment from this anyway, so being that I separated my shoulder playing hockey, he offered to install the front springs (I cut low-mile stockers). My dad is very experienced with cars but a co-worker mentioned to him that some FWD stuff have side specific front springs :shrug: . Neither of us had heard of that, but I wanted to ask before he installs them tonight.

I've seen that with shocks but never with springs.

Yeah, car was put back together tonight, no problems.
I'll be driving back to get it tomorrow and will post some pics.
