Coolant hose routing?

Hi, could someone please take a look at their 2.5 engine -'99 if possible- and
maybe draw a diagram of the coolant hose routing. It's been a couple months
since I pulled the engine and I've forgotten, (among other things), where some
of the smaller hoses connect. Usually have another car to copy from but my other Contours are 2.0s. If a drawing or picture are not possible, perhaps a
verbal "picture" would help. Much obliged.

Ok, I will be happy to wait and appreciate your efforts. Am making all other
connections first and it will be nice to have the car running again. (It had a
bad valve, so put in a used engine). Looks like your SVT may be a 'little'
faster than mine!

Maybe these will help a little?

RRT SVT and 69 Boss 302: Thanks for your help and the pix. My confusion
stemmed from my thinking that the fitting @ left rear of the upper intake
manifold was for coolant instead of a fresh air tube to the airbox. I'll try to
use what few brains I've left next time before bothering you folks. Now, if
I haven't mounted the engine backwards....the fun continues. Thanks again.

Yes, all the photos helped. If I'd been thinking, I would have tagged every
wire, hose, and bolt as all manuals advise, but thought memory would be
sufficient; at least that's how I remember the thinking going. Hopes are all
will be ready today for firing 'er up. Thanks again for the help.

just remember that all of the wiring harness plugs only plug in one way, so it'd be hard to get those wrong.

I can see some confusion when it comes to the hoses though. I spend a decent amount of time in the junkyards looking at them all the time and I still have problems remembering where things go.

Hard maybe but not impossible to plug the wire connectors incorrectly - I'll
cut 'em and splice if I have to! Tomorrow is test day. If she explodes I'll give
you a report. Even if it by some miracle runs, will report that too. May have
changed 25-35 engines; this was by far the most difficult. (Out the top; without the atx).

This post made me laugh.

You are easily amused, it seems. Glad you like the attempt at humor; there
wasn't much humor in evidence here as I lay under the filthy *&#%%# (car). And
there won't be if the aforementioned (car) doesn't start and run. And I'll have
'former owner of:' under my name too.

Well, the wonderful '99 Contour started and ran smoothly and quietly. To all
who helped or even read this thrilling tale, I offer my thanks and stand ready
to help you if the need arises and my knowledge is applicable.
