who doesn't want a dumb Democrat sitting in office feeding the lazy people? Heck if i was just as lazy as them i would love to have him in office also.:help:

kwame did nothing different than any other repub or dem. His stupidity lays on the fact that he can't cover himself and if this man isn't savvy enough to take care of himself, how can he lead a city?:shrug:

kwame, if you have a contour and you are on this site......you may want to consider resignation as a strong option.

oh, and by the way, i grew up in detroit, and everyone isn't so lazy.;)
 
The only thing the city has going for it are the sports stadiums. Besides that, I say we should build a wall around it and make it a giant prison. Might make some good income for the state.

I was born and raised there. Then i lived 1 block away from Detroit inside Dearborn. Which wasn't any better:help: Most are lazy who can't afforded a 15k-50k houses they live in. 2nd highest bankrupt city in usa I wonder why? Yet they have no problems getting hair and nails done 2 times a week while driving brand new cars.

I can't tell you how many drug offenses occur in Detroit.:blackeye: They sell more drugs than Merck does annually:help:

I don't know about you. Its only the casinos that are somewhat helping employment in that city.Other than the big 3. And it was our governor that voted in allowing casinos in Michigan. Kwam was still in NY getting 1k bottles of crystaaaaal at Puff daddy's resturants:help: :nonono: :blackeye: . Having 2k hotel rooms in las Vegas a night:blackeye: . While his wife was being driven around in black suvs that gm gave to the police force. She used as a limo instead. :confused:

I guess they like there mayor being the highest spending mayor ever recorded in history living in the worst neighbored in history. Detroit is awesome for voting him in 2 times now.:rolleyes:
 
You know those giant bulldozers they show on amazing machines or whatever?

I think we should line up about 10 of those in a row and just drive towards the lake.
 
i guess as long as you suburbanites hide safely in your homes then i guess it is safe to lob insults and derogatories at Detroit.
i would love to see one of you in a position where NOBODY hire you for over $8 hr. would u want others to label you as lazy good for nothing.

I guess everyone in the early 1900's started from the same gate and the folks in Detroit now are the results of the slow ones crossing the finish line. Yeah thats it.
On the other hand, I do agree to some point that the priorities are screwed up, but that not just Detroit. I do agree that there are a TON of lazy people there, but again, that is not just in Detroit.
If you don't live in Detroit you really shouldn't care what the mayor is doing right??? If you speak on the plight of Detroit, then you must care... a little.....right? Well, if you care, DO SOMETHING. Don't simply hide behind a screenname and throw pot shots at a suffering city.

I have family and many friends that live in Detroit. They think Kwame is a f**king buffoon just like you guys. They also have jobs and work hard to keep their houses looking nice... just like people who live in Livonia or wherever.

There are lazy dirtbags living in every single community in Metro Detroit... don't paint everyone with the same brush.

Of course not. Plus, how many times has he looked dead into the camera before and flat-out lied before? Why would/should anyone believe him this time?

Everyone is all up in arms about "I don't care what he does in his personal life" and that the cheating crap "is between him and his wife"... I want to know why nobody is talking about the 2 cops that lost their jobs because they knew something was going on? The ensuing lawsuit and trial that was not settled because Kwame's ego told him that he was untouchable? Furthermore, I want to know why Ella Bully-Cummings allowed THE MAYOR to fire 2 of her guys? Everyone in this town in any position of power is so deep in his pockets it's laughable.

What does this even mean? Why would anyone want to live there? Poor property value, bad community, extremely high crime, unsafe neighborhoods...the list goes on and on. Yes, I live in the suburbs, heck I've talked to a lot of ex-Detroiters who moved out to the suburbs, and they all pretty much had the same logic; the city was falling apart without any shiney light in sight, and it was simply time to pull the plug.

Which only further shows you what kind of mayor you're defending. Sure, great...a nice superbowl, cleaned up downtown....but the fact still remains, unemployment is nearly ~20%, which is ridiculous.

I think you're taking this the wrong way. Nobody has grudges against the poor, man. If anything I think I speak on behalf of most on here, and feel pitiable that people who are earnestly trying to provide for their families do not have the opportunity to even do so.

Furthermore, we drive Contours; that pretty much makes us all poor! Personally, I'm recuperating from debt, live with my parents, and barely have a dime to my name!

Ummm, we all live in MI. This is a single state recession. We all are fighting to find or keep our jobs. My father was just laid off from Ford/Visteon. You speak as if the rest of MI is in some sort of economical treasure chest.

The mayor spent $9 million dollars of the city's money, which wasn't even necessary. He then goes off and spends the city's money on a resort in SC. Now I don't give a damn about the guy's personal life. Only thing he's messing up is his marriage and kids' life, but I'll be dumbfounded to hear people like you defending him when the evidence we have been given isn't enough to provoke some sort of questioning towards the guy's morals towards leading the city.

I don't think he was trying to defend the mayor or his actions (I don't think anyone with a shred of common sense should try and do that)... I think his post was directed more toward the "eh, screw the lazy asses in Detroit and put a wall around the city and bulldoze everything into the river" commentary.
