I have a light that is comming on when I first cold start the car. Its a picture of a radiator with a fan in it. This light go's out after about 1min of running. I checked the computer for codes...nothing. I checking the anti-freeze levels....all fine. Can anyone give me some insight on this light. I do not have a manual as I purchased the car used.

Thanks

Thanks

Thanks, I will try that, I figured it was something along that line. But I wanted to ask just to make sure. On the other side of this, It didnt have this problem before, should I be concerned that it might be usuing coolant.

The sensor gets less and less accurate (dirty, crud build-up, etc)

The normal recommended fix is 1/2" above MAX.

Sorry to hijack this thread but my radiator light stays on all the time. the coolant level is always above MAX. No apparent leaks. I changed the resivour about a year ago to a brand new one from ford. What should I do?

Look underneath the resevoir where you changed it and reconnect the sensor.

Check coolant strength and then put in coolant to 3/4 inch above max line (on a level road).
