3.0L Intake

im not wanting to drop a 3.0L in my mystique, i was just posting that in case some others wanted it.....

so if i got an intake off a pre-99 taurus (aluminum) it'll bolt right on without too much of a problem

if your talking about keeping the 2.5 engine and just bolting on the 3.0 intake manni,yes the 99 and older will fit. you will have issues w/the egr tube,and the iac will keep your hood from closing unless you have a afmrkt hood. i never got mine running right back in the day. but some members on neco have reported that it felt weaker in the lower band but a bit stronger than the svt manifold up top.:shrug: but all in all,really wasnt worth the effort.

You will get the best benefit vs. effort if you locate an SVT intake manifold and put that on.

im wanting to get an SVT manifold but i liked the look of the 3L intake so i was gonna do that but i guess i will get the SVT upper and lower....thanks for everthing though
