i've had 13 of them...only issue i ever had was the disty. some had 200+k miles..still pulled a 14.9 w/just headers and borla catback

I like it, mine is only a SE = 4banger but the car handles awesome. I have never had any problems with it.

I've owned two second gen 4 cylinders. Never owned a GT though. I test drove one and it was slower than the base I drove there in :crazy: I prefer the 4 banger for reliability (at least my experience), price, and the idea that they're probably not beaten on as bad. Stay away from the auto trannies in them though. The last probe I put an engine in as it was smoking pretty bad on cold start ups which fixed that nicely. That car was still holding up great at 188k when I sold it. The first one I had was original engine and trans (as far as I know) with 202k when I sold it. It had seen better days but both cars ran great. Never had any reliability issues with either, though I think many people do (similar to the Contour :laugh

I enjoyed both Probes I owned but I was happy to get something different this year. I do miss the last probe though.

I'm almost embarassed to show what I've got these days after seeing what some of you drive, but oh well, these are what i have pics of of the 5 or 6 cars I have titled right now.
First my DD SVT, BAT suspension, aussie bar on a reinforced rear subframe, cf evo style hood, trubendz exhaust with dynomax ultraflow, b&m short shifter, and unknown 18" wheels. Pics were taken before many of the mods were put on though.

Just sold this a week ago so technically not mine anymore, but was my dd for a year or so until I bought the SVT, 95 Mystique basicly stock except for some forcus 16" wheels, painted the chrome black and redid the grille with Elky mesh and a ford badge.

Before that was my rather extensivly modded 99 SE, V6/MTX, 4 wheel discs and all of the mods mentioned on the SVT (jacked em from this car, lol) plus Corbeau racing seats, custom paint, pre-98 trunk lid with lip spoiler, and had 17" Velox VX-8's.

And lastly, what I plan to be my winter beater this year, 86 Astro van, 4.3 RWD bought for $100 a couple years back, custom spray can paint job by me in my garage, mazda 6 spoiler found in the dumpster behind our dealership bodyshop, custom parts store pieced together exhaust with I believe a flowmaster 40 I got free from a friend complete with welded on rusting chrome tip, lol. This was originally intended to be my people hauler when I led the youth group at my church, plate read (and hopefully will again when I register it ) HOLYRLN

That's all I have pics of, but I also have an 86 Chrysler 5th ave and a 94 GMC Safari AWD, and I think that's it now. Perhaps I'm a little bit redneck, somehow though, my fiance still stays with me.

I had a '95 Probe GT myself. It wasn't reliable - got rid of it after ~8-9K miles driven and a few thousand in repairs. The day I drove it to the dealer to sell, the muffler started getting louder and louder.

my first car was a 1992 civic vx. almost bought a b16a2 motor for it but then i smashed it up on the backroads. i got no pics of it.

second car: 1996 integra GSR. great car, handled like a go cart with bilstein struts w/eibach prokit springs, GAB sports front and rear strut tower bars, DC sports lower tie bar, spoon sports C-pillar bar, type-R rear sway, and 16x7 rota c8's w/yokohama prada spec2 tires. was also plenty fast with just intake, header, and exhaust. sold the car because i moved down to san diego and didnt want it to get stolen.

third car: 1998.5 contour svt. great car, like the pick up but i still miss my teg

First car was a 1995 Neon, dont have any pics.

2nd car was a 1995 Contour SE fully loaded. Man that thing was awesome, to bad it runs like crap now.

3rd car was my 99 CSVT, nitrous, headers, chip, etc. Was fun but totally unreliable.

The last probe I put an engine in as it was smoking pretty bad on cold start ups which fixed that nicely.

That is the current problem that I am having. Only does it when the temp is below 40, once the engine warms up thou all is ok.
