I don't have a pre-98, but I used to, and this is such good news for pre-98 tour owners. I wish they would have had this for pre-98's when I had mine.


Sorry if this is common knowledge already (I'm not in the pre-98 info loop anymore), just thought I would bring a possible ray of light to pre-98 owners interested in something cool for their 'tours.
 
i have seen those before. the problem is that no one wants to take the chance of buying a hood that isnt for their car. you see, neither of those hoods pictured are actually for the pre98 contour. :shrug:
 
Aw jeez. They're cheap! Someone ought to take th plunge. I mean, if nothing else, it's a carbon fiber hood for your 'tour, and if it turns out NOT to fit your car, they will HAVE to refund you for blatantly lying about what their product is. They can't sell you a "95-96-97 Ford Contour Hood" that is not made for that car and expect that to fly. It's false advertising, and highly illegal. I doubt they would be stupid enough to do that.

Someone with a little gusto should give it a shot, for the sake of the community and for themselves. It's probably legit, although it might just be an OEM style carbon fiber hood with vents, which would still be cool.

Just email or contact these companies and tell them that those hoods pictured obviously do not fit on a pre-98 tour, and they would like to know more about the hoods, possibly detailed descriptions, maybe pics. That would be a free, safe, easy solution.
