Government shutdown

As long as I can still get beer...

Having said that, those stupid f**ksticks in Lansing had better straighten this s**t out quick. Dummies.

Do you think people will rush the liquor stores in the next couple days to buy everything up?

I thought that, too. New England preparation. Don't wait too long, though.

I am considering stopping on the way home to get what I need for my cruise in two weeks just so I have it incase somethinc crazy were to happen but how much liquor does a store really sell in 2 weeks or 3 weeks?

I dunno, but let me know when you poor bastids need me to start mailing out care packages from our liquor stores.

BTW, Kwame says that the casinos will stay open no matter what.

As for this ridculous mess that our legislators have gotten us into, it really is plain disgusting. Makes me reaffirm my thoughts that all politicians are completely and utterly worthless. I thought Obama had some sense, but then he backed the UAW when they were striking....what a mistake. Way to jump on the "I am a democrat and therefore kiss unions' a$$es" bandwagon. Thanks for reminding us how much politcal parties are good for. Sorry for the rant.

Do you think it would be possible to get out of a ticket (for expired registration) if your plates expired while the government was shutdown?

i just thrilled to give the state more of my hard earned money so jenny from the block can go buy a porsche while im working harder to make up for that cash that i dont have. then she wants to shut down the casinos, liquor stores and sos, i thought that brought the state money. gotta go check my blood pressure!

Michigan sucks! and the dumbocrats must all be suffering from metal disorders.

Any state where the majority leadership believes it is possible to tax and spend it's way out of it's fiscal problems is doomed to continue failing. Michigan's economy revolved around an industry that is no longer present, people are leaving, and revenue is down, the only way to solve the problem is to reduce spending, provide incentives for business development, and make concessions to the citizens to entice them to tough it out.

The plan to raise and expand taxes might solve the immediate budget problem, but every action has a reaction and with the current rate of exodus, decreasing the attractiveness of the state only encourages fewer people to stay.

Good thing Michigan has such an intelligent voting population :) I'm sure they'll get it right next time.

Not like there are a lot of options out there worth voting for. I am definitely an advocate for voting, casting ones opinion, etc, but honestly...when was the last time that we have had an option that

a.) had a plan that involved funding allocated to making it possible

b.) had a candidate that wasn't constantly spewing bs and/or making party affiliation more important than their constituents.

?

Might want to watch the news.

No time to watch the news. Too busy cleaning out the liquor store and typing aimlessly on CEG.

I've been watching this lately. It just makes Michigan look stupid since our lawmakers can't come to any agreement.

What if you were a business looking at moving or building in Michigan?

Just wait for the blame game to start.

was watching the local news tonight and some of the local school districts will only have enough money to function until mid october

so did the SOS shut down today? because yesterday my teacher looked at the news around 11 and said that they will be open for 3 more business days...

I've loaded up on food, ammo and other supplies. Its going to get bad. Real bad.

lol, where do you live again lol

I must agree this does make michigan look stupid.
