i was just wondering since i couldnt find a post on it, who all showed at the Carlisle All Ford Nationals this past year? i was there right behind u guys in the Tempo class (3 cars) and i went around lookin at all of the Contours there. i was j/w so i can picture the car w/ ur forum name cuz not all of you have pics of your cars.

I thought it was dumb w/ how they didnt give u guys enough room and had to park 2 rows deep, we had so much room next to the Tempo's
 
The drivers side is the "movie star" side, the other side is what the actress looks like without all the makeup. :laugh:
 
AWESOME, my Tempo made it in a few of the shots on page 3!!!! like the wheel, the hood and part of the roof!!!!

definantly some sweet ass Contours though

that is kinda the reason. i heard that a lot of the escort and contour owners were a little snobby to the tempo and pinto owners, so i kinda stayed away from talkin to anyone, plus, at the time, i was planning on keeping my tempo.
 
Well, to sorta save face here...I wasn't being snobby. I was just cracking a joke about that common problem Pinto's had (hope to god you never get rear ended). Though it was completely out of sarcasm. He knew it was too. :cool:

(Yeah, the Pinto shirt he had on certainly didn't give it away before my mouth started moving.)

Edit: Not to be a **** head, but I think it was a Tempo (baby blue in color) that was being an baby and *****ing about our Contours being double parked.

As for the Escorts...I dunno what there problem might have been... some of them were just ricers in my eyes. :shrug:

The weather was that bad? I only had a problem with it when I began sweating so profusely that I got copious amounts of salt in my eyes. That was unsavory. I took an Italian shower and was fine. :cool: Other than that, it was alright. I had an awesome long weekend.
 
Tempo and Contour owners have to get along! Because it was the Contour that replaced the Tempo! Anyways, at Carlisle, everyone usually makes fun of the riced out cars and the crappy modifications that people do. It's not being necessarily snobby...

copious and unsavory...I'll have to work those words into my vocabulary today, especially "unsavory"...:laugh:
 
i know Tempo and Contour owners should get along, but us Tempo owners are a little hurt that the contour caused the end of the Tempo. They were great cars....

Oh and Pete is the guy in the blue Tempo. He's mad cool and that car is SWEET with all the **** he did to it. with all the mods and nitrous, that car is pushing around 200hp at the engine

Not that I heard.
I was over hanging out with the girl that owned the pink Probe for quite sometime, chatting with both she and her BF. I was also talking with the guy with the blue Probe from Maine.

Never have I heard one of the CEG people say anything negative to the Escort, Probe or Tempo owners. I sure hope no one did anyway. We aren't like that.

In fact, I asked one of the Escort owners if we would be in their way if we did the double row parking. They said no.

I thought we were all pretty respectful to the others around us. I've been at Carlisle for four years now, we've never had an issue with any of the people around us.

Next year you'd better come hang out with us. :)
