New CEG'er
Ok folks , installed rebuilt alternator everything is groovy but now my instrument cluster lights pulse I tried searching the forums no luv.
Duratec Maintenance-Read First. Even if this is the fix, you will still need to take out the alternator to do it..., How about the alt. wiring fix? I lost the link to the actual Diagram ...
If I have to take out the alt again I will most likely die of heat stroke as I have to do the repair in the parking lot of the apt. complex and it has been almost 100 degrees in Nashville, TN.
I hear ya. Yesterday I did a full brake job: rotors, pads, greasing, new slider pins, new bushings, and new spring clips; all in the parking lot of Autozone so I could return the warped rotors and damaged pads. In the direct sunlight, on black pavement, when it was 94 degrees and humid... I burned my knees, my hands, and got so dehydrated I started getting dizzy and couldn't stand up straight.
Sorry about getting back in a timley fashion, trying to close on a house. I wasn't aware but the headlights pulse to at about 3000rpm. did some research , How about the alt. wiring fix?
when does this happen, at idle or do they pusle more when the rpm increases? if its when the rpm increases the regualtor or diodes aren't good and the alternator needs to be replaced
