Looking for preassembled struts/springs/mounts

I've been getting quotes to have my rear struts replaced, and a few of the mechanics recommended preassembled struts/springs/mounts. I've seen Monroe's Quick-Struts, but the catalog doesn't list them for the Contour. Do you know of anybody who makes them for our cars? I'm looking for a good stock replacement along the lines of Sensa-Tracs, not something lowered or designed for the track.

Needs less lazy douchenozzles! They should have an automatic spring compressor on the wall. Take 2 seconds to put springs on new struts with with one!

It was just a suggestion, and I'm sure he'd install the components separately without a problem. The mechanics recommended the preassembled units because 1) everything would be new, and 2) one mechanic saw a lot of broken springs on Escorts and thought Contours might be similar enough to warrant replacing the springs while he's in there. Considering the beating a car's suspension takes on PA roads, it's probably not a bad idea for a car with 105K.

Why don't you get the BAT european handling kit, If I was you I'd replace all 4 w/ those and call it a day. $595 and your done with it.

Edit: the price may have changed, I'm not sure.

Ill 2nd that, I have it on my car and I am loving it... It is a bit lower, but its like barely more expensive than doing everything with OEM components! I believe the price is still $595 plus shipping....

www.batinc.net check it out
