drivers side getting HOT!

when driving my csvt around, and pushing it hard here and there, it would get hot down toward your legs. But it wouldn't be hot over on the other side. The temperature gauge does not go up when this happens. Is this just from the headers getting hot, or is something not right with the exhaust?
