Idiot dealer

Yeah -- How 'bout those '89-'95 Taurus SHO's with the Duratec motors? Those were cool, too.

Washington plates have "Washington" in red and the numbers in blue, with a light blue image of Mount Rainier for a background.

Looks pretty clean inside. Listed at $6,575 on their web site. Site says Everett, Washington, btw. Looks like an ebay intake kit on it too but half of the bay is cut off.

When you said "dealer" I figured you meant Ford dealer since everyone slams them on this site. FWIW, I don't expect wholesalers or other cheapie carlots to know a whole lot about every car in their inventories because they aren't specialists in any one marque. OTOH, since the Yamaha motor is rather rare relative to other car engines, it looks like he might actually hurt chances of a sale instead of help them. :nonono:

200 hp contour svt!! only made three years in four colors this one is silver frost. SVT has some unique features like dual exhaust 200 hp 2.5 v 6 with a 5 speed manual transmission, four wheel disc brakes, sport tuned suspension, leather and all the options!!!!

No sunroof.... DE DEDEEEEE.

And correct me if I'm wrong... but the E0 (i guessing that's what this from the wheels) has 195hp does it not??

you are correct, partially.

You said "the e0" as in early 98. Early 98's had 195hp, but the kicker is in that the "e1" (late 98's) ALSO had 195hp. The 5hpo bump to 200 came in the 99MY, not in the E0 to E1 change.

dealer is probably confusing it w/ the zetec, which was developed in collaberation with yamaha (yay wikipedia!)

of course, the dealer should have said it was a porsche engine, which has a grain of truth to it. (and definatly sounds better than yamaha)
