Wiring Tweeters

You and the other poster mentioned a tic.

Well, here is the situation: i plugged in those tweeters on the left (to test) and when i turn on the HU, i hear it but when i turn on the volume, i hear nothing, unless i have to play around with the HU settings and such, hmmm, didn't think about that until now...

Also, when i unplug the tweeters and run normally the wires...no tic.

:blackeye:

No worries, when it can be solved, it will.

Problem solved, it was the tweeter that was fried, got to junkyard, found a new pair and installed with no problems.

Thanks to all for your help.

I didn't read this whole thread as it it's a pain and I was reading a lot of children talking idiocy

not sure if anybody's there yat, but you run a capacitor wired sieries on the positive wire of the tweets for a HPF.

you wire the tweets to the line from the HU that matches their location

on my tweets, i have .047mfd/100v caps. this is a strict HPF.

the lower the number of MDF (uF) the higher the cut off point for HZ.

depending on your door speaker freq specs and the quality of your tweets, you will need different spec caps.
