Cams

You will get more high end power. 3L torque levels down low are already considerably more than a typical 2.5 engine, so I don't think you're losing anything there.

If you go with the SVT cams, you will need to swap over all of the timing components from a 2.5 engine since the pitch of the chains is different & the cams have a different number of teeth as well.

If you havn't already guessed, its a matter of opinion.

If you don't tend to wind the engine up frequently when you drive, you will be happier with the 3.0 cams and their low end torque. If you like to work the engine and feel it perform, especially in the upper rev ranges, you will be much happier with the SVT cams. The SVT cams will make more power, but you may need to work a bit more to get it.

Big Jim, that was a very good explanation. Added perspective & everything.

If it's not in there already, you may want to add that to the FAQ or sup'm...
