I have a 95 ford contour 2.0L, that has a 335 KOEO & 336 KOER, I have replaced the EVR and the DPFE and still checks bad. No blockage in lines. I also have the car running hot, found the water pump leaking, I replaced the pump but still get hotter than normal. I checked the timing an it is off. I will readjust the timing with the cam tool but does anyone have any suggestions for the codes or is this being caused by the timing being off. Thanks for any remarks, badly needed

No excessive pressure, anymore ideas please!!! I need help, thanks to all
Welcome :) .

Do the TBcleaning. Then if that doesn't work, do the EGR (not EVR) cleaning. Then try clearing the EGR tube (with a drill and frayed cable).

Edit. TBcleaning throttlebody passages

EGR cleaning in UIM/LIM rebuild.

EGRtube frayedcable
....In addition, if you are going to clean the EGR tube, one good way to clean the insides (if it is really clogged up), is to install/attach a TV coaxial cable to a drill. On the other end, fray the cable so that it becomes like a brush. ....

335 PFE sensor circuit voltage out of Self-Test range.
336 PFE sensor circuit voltage higher than expected.

How did you test that pressure?

Use a Vacuum/fuel pressure gage on the upstream DPFE port to look for backpressure above 2 psi. at 3000 rpm. caused by exhaust blockage.

Then use the gage to look at the downstream DPFE port with engine under a slight load or with the EGR valve manually under 5 in. vacuum. A reading of more than 8 in. at the downstream port indicates the metering orifice in the EGR tube is blocked.

The only other option is faulty wiring to the DPFE.

EGR/DPFE/EVR Info Here

did the vacuum check and didn't find any problems, starts out with no CEL but comes on around 60 mph and stays on, I used the scanner while driving and the car stays in open loop status all the time, got home and ran codes had 335 & 172 (KOEO) and 336 (KOER), tried 02 sensor since car has 135,000 miles and never changed still got same result, am I seeing this wrong I thought that it should cycle from open to close loop, not stay open all the time
