What do you guys think about the Bfgoodrich Traction T/A HR tires and the Falken ziex ZE-512 tires. Any other tires that you guys really like that can do ok in the snow. I'm up for suggestions. I currently have yoko's and I love them. To bad they were discontinued.

I have Traction T/A's on my car right now (215/50/16). I bought them two winters ago right before a big snow storm. They were horrible in the snow as well as rain!!! And that was brand new!!! After almost 40K they have worn horribly, even after free regular 5K rotations. I wouldn't recommend them, I think they are too expensive for how they perform.

Just my $.02 :)

I had similar experience only mine wore out in less than 15k miles.

What category of tire do you want? Performance, touring, etc?

I just put the Firestone Affinity LH30 on my car. I think Firestone categorizes it as a performance tire, but I consider it a touring tire with good performance characteristics. It's a quiet, comfortable tire that handles well in all conditions. The sidewall design isn't as sharp as some of the Michelin or Goodyear designs, but it looks good when it's clean.
