Not entirely accurate, you could buy a 2.3T Mustang GT in 83-85 also. The SVO had a lot more than just the 2.3T.

It's certainly a beautiful car. But I would have a hard time not buying something with a V8. Of course you already had your fun with the lightning, so I guess this is just a step in a different direction. Very nice indeed. I would be tempted to store it in hopes that it may someday be a true classic. Hard to tell, but certainly not too many of those around.
