yep.. we were driving around.. looking for something to do, so we went to the CT post mall in the parking garage to get away from the rain, and started talking about what type of car she wants.. after digging through her brain, to narrow down to what she wants came up with this

she wants a camero.. not gonna happen right now.. so i thought. mmm srt4. sexy! but anyways.

told her to get in my car and try to start driving it.. not thhaaaaat bad. the only problem, as it is with anyone, is getting it into 1st gear.

didn't kill the car as bad as i thought she would. and she was doing really well... until i told her to leave the parking garage. ok, after 6 failed attempts im like what gives? she was doing soo good before.

ok, now shes driving on the post road, doing great. flashing yellow lights at 2:30 (3:30 thanks to DLS time) and so she turns around in a parking lot.

no at a red light, im thinking, we got this. light turns green, nope... nope.. nope.. ok, it turns red............ light turns green again.. (read previous result)

ok, light turns red and now a few cars are coming.. blah blah blah, a cop is next to us now. light turns green.. guess! ok, cop asks if everything is ok, i tell him im trying to teach her to drive stick, and so since the light is just red i swap seats with her, and he just tells me kindly to drive through the red light as he puts his flashers on to allow me to pass.. not a douche at all.. good kid.

that was my night.. had a good time.. and this was another long story from the mind of jeff

:p

Did this start out sounding like something from a porn episode to anyone else? Maybe its just me but under the circumstances I don't think talking about cars would be the 1st thing on my mind here

Desi Does Connecticut :ponder:

Next time get out of the car and set her free in the parking garage.

It's usually better if no one is in the car with you when you are learning to drive stick. She'll probably get the hang of first much quicker on her own.

thats what i did.. we we're standing outside of the car.. i told her, get in the car.. if you can get it going you can drive it!! and she did, after a few hops she got it going, and i was very happy with her.. its when i got in the car i said "now why are you nervous that im in the car?"

its weird like that.. but she did good..

I wanna teach my gf to drive my car so I can start getting wasted at bars and then putting the responsibility of getting home on her. She can barely drive an automatic though :nonono: It also doesnt help that my car doesnt always go into the gear you want it to. You gotta finesse it and make love to the shifter to get it to do what you want.

ya i taught my GF how to drive stick on my '95 wrangler...i told her if she could drive that, she could drive anything, then i got the SVT and she started driving it a lot more...now she has a 6speed that whoops on my SVT :nonono:

that's why you get her to drive you in HER car

Some nights I will just flat out tell my girl....your driving b/c I'm getting sauced.

That's was back in the college days though. I very rarely drink anymore.
