wow and i thought i took it on the chin paying 63 bucks over at sho shop for my plugs....in red no less since they didn't have any blue wires

they are great wires though without a doubt and nearly a bargain at any price compared to what u pay for other sets....the dealer wanted to charge me 117 dollars for STOCK wires and something like 170 for the ford racing [Eek!]

i almost wish i needed some now some i could get in on this price...and i like my red wires now so im keeping them [Wink]

I talked to him over a week ago, he quoted $45.00 & $5.00 shipping ($50.00), then said he didn't have a source since he moved to 'Vegas, and would call me back later that day, but never did. I found Chicago Connection less than 10 miles from my house.

Yeah, but if you buy a second set at the much lower price, you can cost dollar average the two and really save some money! [Roll Eyes] [Big Grin]

Yep, Bill IS THE MAN. He just hooked up me up with my wiring harness. I just asked him about the wires. And yes, he's in process of locating his nearest Motorcraft Performance distributor. He'll let us know when he's up to full capacity. He's still awaiting his high-speed line there as well as few other technicalities. Give him a chance...he's only been up & running for a week now [Big Grin]

Out of curiosity, what is the gauge and the resistance on these wires? For instance, for my '73 Bronco I use MSD Plug Wires. They are 8.5mm and have 40-50 ohms per foot of resistance. As I understand it, this allows me to take advantage of a more powerful alternator as well as a more powerful distributor and stronger coil. This all equates to more efficient power and in turn better gas mileage. For comparison, I think I paid $89.95 for a universal set that I had to cut and crimp myself.

Also, does anyone know what the stock gauge and resistance are for a non-SVT 2.5L Duratec? It's a Cougar, but I would imagine Cougar and non-SVT Countour are the same.

Ford Racing website (www.fordracing.com) will give you the part #. They list these wires as 9mm, but don't say exact resistance, they just say low resistance wires. [Frown]

Ford MOTORSPORT Ignition Wires are 9mm wires.

Replacing the OEM 8mm wires with these will give you a definite boost to your Engine's behavior.

I replaced my wires with these and also reaplced the plugs with the Bosch Platinum +4s.

I've had them in for almost 20,00 miles and they are BETTER, with the FOMOSPRT Wires than the OEMs.

Idle is smoother, and acceleration is stronger.

The only thing you need to do is to dremel out the OEM Wire Looms.
They are made for just 8MM, and you need to add
a little more room to them for the 9MM wires.

Just ordered some from Bill, nice guy....
I would've ordered from Bill Jenkins, but he says he is yet to find a local FMS dealer in Vegas to hook him up with the same deal as he was getting in Boston.
