Hey guys, sorry it has taken me a little while to respond. I went to the composit place yesterday ready to get pissed at them, But I had no reason to once I got in. the tool is almost done. they have the parts there and they are just makeing sure teh bummper will be strong enough to make the tool around it. the the tool will be made and done by the begging of next week, I talked to the guy making it so I know I didnt get the run around from the other company. after we receive the tool parts will be around 2-4 parts a day after they get past the learning curve of making it. I am so impatient too, I got pulled over last night because I have no front bumper cover!! This is taking longer then I think any of us thought it would. But I am sure it will be worth it once it is out. think another reason this has taken longer is the added cost that I wasnt plaining on. Thanks everyone for understanding.

You can get the sides through Bill Jenkins, (opening page classifides) you are best off getting a rear through a junk yard or a web site www.copartfinder.com or www.car-parts.com

Micah will get it made, but when it is done we will spend another week or two trying to decide how to get it where it needs to go. Micah is getting the bumper done, The best thing we could do is find the fastest and cheapest way to receive them. Hell, I may be wrong. Just a thought.

The best way that I can think of is Grey Hound. mainly because UPS and Fedex ship on a weight based dimension system. So if it's 2'x2'x2' the max weight is 75 lbs, then they charge you for shipping 75 lbs. Grey Hound only charges for shipping weight and a small premium for oversized dimensions. Just my thoughts.

ok listen up, i got my kit sent to me by both grey hound and ups.
i paid about 60 dollars for front bumper shiping with grey hound, and paid 30 dollars shipping with fedex for the rear bumper. the rear bumper is alot heavery then the front, i suggest u guys call fedex and ask.

this is how u package it, u buy alot of news paper, wrap the whole thing with about 4 layers of news paper tape the cornors and all should be fine.

Ok guys this is the e-mail I received today, I am passing it along to you to read. any other questions let me know. Hope this answers everything.

Micah

Reply two.

Just Talked with the tool maker. The tool is 60% complete as of
today. The fabrication will be complete by Friday and post cured
early next week and available for pickup on Wednesday.

I am coordinating with Steve on materials so that all needed items
will be available upon receipt of the tool. I expect that we will
pull one part on Thursday and several on Friday and the remainder of
the parts the next week. Please feel free to contact Steve on any
elements since I am going to be on vacation until the 15th but I will
be in touch via phone and e-mail.

If things go according to this plan all of the parts will be completed
on or about the 19th.

Where do those of us that weren't affluent enough at the start of the GB, but have money now go if we want this bumber in the future. I thought I saw a post by CHris Hightower that he would be selling these in the future. Any word on what a bumber in the future would cost?
